The Role


Our Accounting Specialists work directly with clients and our agency’s advisors, providing accounting, QuickBooks, and payroll/payroll tax services for various entities and individuals. This role requires the professional ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. The Accounting Specialist is a task-driven, detail-oriented team member who takes ownership of assigned work and contributes to a high-quality client experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform all core accounting functions with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Analyze and prepare adjustments to accounting records.

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax reports.

  • Prepare Washington State Sales & B&O Tax reports.

  • Support QuickBooks cleanup projects under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Assist clients with basic QuickBooks questions and training as needed.

  • Document all work product and work papers in accordance with firm standards and technology.

  • Utilize the agency’s tech stack, including MS Teams, MS Apps, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Gusto Payroll, Dext, Expensify, and Right Networks hosting.

  • Collaborate effectively with the broader team, including international team members.

  • Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and client expectations..

What you’ll bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role.

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.

  • Familiarity with firm tech stack applications is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and continuously improve.

  • Professional discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information. 

Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but may be substituted with applicable work experience.
