Specialist
The Role
Our Accounting Specialists work directly with clients and our agency’s advisors, providing accounting, QuickBooks, and payroll/payroll tax services for various entities and individuals. This role requires the professional ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. The Accounting Specialist is a task-driven, detail-oriented team member who takes ownership of assigned work and contributes to a high-quality client experience.
What you’ll do:
Perform all core accounting functions with accuracy and attention to detail
Analyze and prepare adjustments to accounting records
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts.
Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax reports
Prepare Washington State Sales & B&O Tax reports
Support QuickBooks cleanup projects under the guidance of senior team members
Assist clients with basic QuickBooks questions and training as needed
Document all work product and work papers in accordance with firm standards and technology
Utilize the agency’s tech stack, including MS Teams, MS Apps, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Gusto Payroll, Dext, Expensify, and Right Networks hosting
Collaborate effectively with the broader team, including international team members
Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and client expectations
What you’ll bring:
1–3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop
Familiarity with firm tech stack applications is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Eagerness to learn, grow, and continuously improve
Professional discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but may be substituted with applicable work experience.
