Extended Due Date: August Excise Tax Filings

Department of Revenue | Auto Extension on August Filings
If you were not able to get into the Washington State Department of Revenue website to file and pay your August excise taxes by September 25th due to the website being down, there’s good news!
The DOR has extended the filing and payment due date for August excise taxes until October 2nd.
Per Department of Revenue website: If you haven’t filed the August 2020 return yet, the due date has automatically been extended to October 2; there is no need to request the extension. If you have already filed, you do not need to do anything else. We will waive late filing penalties for businesses unable to file their return by September 25.
